Who's better: kaka', Ronaldo or Messi

This has been a long and on going debate about who actually is the best footballer in the world
there are three main candidates : 1)Manchester united's Cristiano Ronaldo who was just recently voted the best player in in the world after a tremendous last season scoring 42 goals
2)Lionel Messi: Diego Maradona's protege and i must agree the most skilful and pacy player among the three. 3)Ricardo kaka' : in my opinion the best player the world has seen in the last five years.
he has ofcourse seen a dip in form in the last two seasons. Although kaka' and milan managed to stave off a world record bid from manchester city in the january window, Kak' needs to find form and fast.
these three players are all world class in their positions. Two of them have led their teams to Champions League glory and now its lionel Messi turn to step up to the plate . if he can lead Barca to the Champions League this year im sure that year will belong the little wizard from argentina.

Madrid hopeful on Ribery

Jurgen Klinsmann has revealed an enquiry has been received from Real Madrid regarding star midfielder Franck Ribery.

Speaking on Bavarian television, Klinsmann confirmed Madrid's official approach, but claimed the Frenchman would be better off staying put.

"The enquiries we have received, whether it be the one from Real Madrid or whatever, prove his worth," said Klinsmann.

"He is happy here and the club situation in Spain is exactly the opposite to FC Bayern. He knows that what he has got here with FC Bayern is great.

"We are quite sure he will stay with us for a long time."

Italian media today claimed Juventus have also made enquiries about the 25-year-old, who could also figure on the wishlist of several Premier League sides, but, for now, Klinsmann is proud to be able to say Ribery is his.

"We have an absolutely exceptional player in Franck," he added.

Ribery is refusing to commit himself to the club beyond the end of this season.

The France international has a deal until 2011 but could be a transfer target for many next summer, after recently admitting he did not know whether he would complete his contracted stay.

"There are lots of clubs in Europe who I dream of (playing for)," Ribery told Munich's Tz newspaper.

"Nobody knows what will happen next season. It is far too early to talk about it.

"At the moment, I am not even considering a transfer. I feel very happy in Munich - the people love me, and I love the fans.

"There is a great atmosphere in the team, and everything is fantastic."

Bayern's general manager Uli Hoeness recently said Ribery is not for sale at any price.

But club president Franz Beckenbauer knows it may be hard to keep hold of the winger if a serious offer does arrive.

"Clubs cannot hold onto players against their will," he told Premiere television.

"In the end, the player always wins if there is a battle - so if he really wants to move to Real Madrid, then why not?

"Bayern will do everything to keep him. But he does only have a contract until 2011 - and could move before then."

Casillas equals Hierro's cap mark

Spain are on a 28-game unbeaten run and host England tonight in Seville in a stadium where they have never lost, but head coach Vicente del Bosque is taking nothing for granted with crucial FIFA World Cup qualifying games on the horizon.

Europe's finest
Del Bosque's side have made the perfect start on the road to South Africa in 2010, taking maximum points from their first four Group 5 games. However, with their next competitive fixtures being back-to-back matches against UEFA EURO 2008™ semi-finalists Turkey on 28 March and 1 April, Del Bosque feels there can be no slip-ups in the friendly against England. "We'll be looking to avoid making errors in this game," the former Real Madrid CF boss said. "This is the last opportunity we have to see what we can do before the Turkey games. England have improved a lot under Fabio Capello and they have some really good players. I feel this is a very prestigious friendly between the best two teams in Europe right now."

Young hopefuls
With injuries preventing Cesc Fàbregas (knee) and Carles Puyol (thigh strain) from joining up with the squad, there may be opportunities for FC Barcelona duo Gerard Piqué and Sergio Busquets to win their first senior caps. Both players have impressed for the Liga leaders this term and Del Bosque has been particularly interested in 20-year-old midfielder Busquets' progress. "He's been a welcome sight over the past few months," the coach said. "Despite being so young, he's tactically very good; he controls the midfield well. The only area I would say he could maybe improve is in goalscoring, but having said that he does a fantastic job box-to-box."

Home rule
Should England manage to beat their hosts at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, they will be the first team to do so. Spain have won 17 of the 22 games they have played there and with La Furia Roja enjoying an unbeaten run stretching back to 15 November 2006, the odds are against an away win. "It's great that the game is taking place at this stadium," Del Bosque said after it was announced the friendly was a sell-out. "The national team have always been cherished down here and I'm convinced that we'll see proof of that on Wednesday night."

Huntelaar interview

"La Liga and the Champions League are two of my dreams; I want to win many titles here"

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has played five matches since signing for Real Madrid. Although he won't be playing in what's left of this season's Champions League, the Dutch Striker dreams of "winning a European Cup with Real Madrid." He sat down with Realmadrid.com to discuss his first month as a Madridista.

How do you feel now that your first month is behind you?

I am very happy to be playing for Real Madrid. It's a great club, the most important in the world. My debut was nice. I wasn't able to score unfortunately, but I had a great chance. I have to play more and continue fighting because I know the goals will come.

Did you follow La Liga when you lived in the Netherlands?

I watch any football match that is shown on television, and in Holland they air matches from Spain, Germany and Italy. I watch because there are a lot of Dutch players who are friends of mine and play for foreign teams.

What are your thoughts on teams in La Liga?

I know almost every team by name and I have seen the majority of them play because I followed La Liga from Holland. I think this is Europe's strongest competition.

How have Real Madrid prepared for their match against Racing Santander?

They're a great Spanish team who play with a good system. I am familiar with it and with some of their players. They now have Zigic, who came back from Valencia. I have seen some of their matches and know they did a good job against Barcelona. We'll have to be mindful.

Is La Liga a rough competition?

It's a great competition. I think this and the English league are the two best. I can't say it's rough, but it is a bit more tough than the Dutch league, for example.

A win on Saturday would make it seven straight. Is it possible?

I hope we win our seventh straight. It will help is a lot because it will keep out confidence high. We also need to continue pressuring Barcelona. They have a substantial lead on us, but we need to continue winning to not lose sight.

Real Madrid 1-0 Racing Santande, rSeventh straight victory

Real Madrid took their seventh straight victory against Racing Santander at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium thanks to Higuain and a very solid defence. The Argentine netted his 13th league strike and the defensive line conceded no goals. Iker Casillas played his 454th clash with the team.

The strenght of Real Madrid's defence is beginning to be overwhelming; they are the least scored upon team in the league so far in 2009, conceding only one goal in their last seven games. They worked hard to defend against Racing, who had won five games as a visiting side and have scored more goals from set pieces than any other team in the championship.

Racing put a lot of pressure on Real Madrid from the start and looked to surprise them in attack through Lacen and Colsa's work in midfield. Aware that this would happen, Juande lined up Lass, Van de Vaart and Sneijder in midfield. Rafael served the team's first chance with a free-kick that Ramos finished off, but the defender's shot wasn't on target (10').

Lass became increasingly important thanks to his wise distribution of the ball; his opponents could do nothing to stop him. His excellent job allowed the team to have three consecutive dangerous ventures in attack (12'). The Dutch forward served a cross into the box that found no one to finish it off. Keeper Toño then cleared a strong shot of his with the right foot. Finally, Sneijder pased the ball to Van der Vaart, whose lob was cleared by the keeper. Rául also had a chance in the final minutes of the first half when a header of his missed the mark by inches.

Higuain scores; Faubert makes debut
It only took Higuain three minutes into the second half to score the team's goal. He made great use of an assist served by Raul with his head and beat Toño with a crossed shot. Racing seemed to be in a state of shock and Real Madrid used this to try to score another strike. Pepe surprised the visitors with a powerful sprint. He passed the ball to Higuain, who shot on target again, but Toño cleared the ball with his right leg. Coach Muñiz was forced to replace Lacen and Tchite with Toni Moral and Luccin.

Faubert came on for Robben because Juande wanted to try to surprise Racing down the right wing. Javi Garcia and Marcelo also came on. In the end, Real Madrid won their seventh straight victory, no doubt the best present for Iker Casillas, who today caught up with his idol Paco Buyo by playing his 454th game with the first team.
